Becoming an Animal Ally is one of the simplest, most impactful ways to support Friends of Oakland Animal Services. Monthly giving provides steady, reliable funding when it’s needed most.
Lady B arrived at Oakland Animal Services after surviving the unimaginable, with painful burns covering much of her body in need of immediate care, patience, and time. The OAS team knew her recovery would be long. Thankfully, the foster team was ready to place her in a loving home and together with the medical team, they provided support every step of the way.
Watch a video of Lady B’s story below:

The foster program, one of many FOAS-funded programs at OAS, is powered by monthly donors, and has been a game changer. It allows animals to recover at their own pace in loving homes while freeing up shelter space for other animals to arrive.
Last year, more than 2,600 were adopted from OAS, and more than 2,200 animals were cared for in foster homes.
That’s lifesaving impact. Monthly gifts make stories like Lady B’s possible.
