Planned Giving / Bequests
Planned giving is for everyone, regardless of how much you plan to give. It’s a way to recognize an organization that is meaningful and a way to support its mission into the future. A bequest to Friends of Oakland Animal Services is a lasting gift for Oakland’s homeless animals.
Making a bequest can be as simple as naming “Friends of Oakland Animal Services (tax ID# 20-4053711) or its successor” as a beneficiary in your will, estate plan, insurance policy, brokerage, bank account, or retirement account.
You may be able to update your beneficiaries if you have online access to your account, or contact your financial advisor for the proper forms.
You can specify either a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate or account to go to Friends of Oakland Animal Services “for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.”
If you have made Friends of Oakland Animal Services a beneficiary of your planned giving, please let us know; we’d like to be able to thank you and keep in touch!
