Interim Executive Director
Avi is a long-time nonprofit leader who has worked with a number of community-based organizations as an Interim Executive Director. He is glad to put his experience to work for groups like FOAS that are passionately committed to their mission. During his full-time career, he worked extensively in health and human service organizations, including several involved with responding to the HIV/AIDS pandemic. In 2021 he concluded 15 years of service as Executive Director of Jewish Family & Community Services East Bay. Avi is a long-time proud resident of Oakland.
