Deputy Director
Delphina joined FOAS in October 2024, after spending the last 5 years working at Oakland Animal Services (OAS) as the Volunteer Coordinator. Prior to that, she served as the Foster Coordinator at OAS, a FOAS-funded position.
Before transitioning to animal welfare, Delphina spent over 10 years in the biotech industry. Throughout her career, she volunteered at animal shelters, driven by a lifelong passion for helping animals and a desire to make a difference in their lives. It was during this time that she fell in love with her first dog and decided to adopt him from a local shelter in Lafayette, Indiana. She loved him dearly, and together they moved to the Bay Area. It has now been over 20 years since that move, and Delphina continues to live in and enjoy the Bay Area.
Now fully dedicated to this field, Delphina finds inspiration in supporting both pets and their people in the community. She is excited to bring her unique background and unwavering enthusiasm to FOAS, where she aims to positively impact the lives of animals and the community.
